Who is Guru?
One simple idea: talking about money shouldn't be this hard.
Hi! I'm Guru — the mascot and the voice of My Investor Guru. Behind me is a small team from a finance background who noticed one thing: in India, money is either explained in heavy English jargon or sold as "tips". Nobody writes for the person in the middle — the one who just got their first salary, or wants to start a SIP with ₹500.
Three sections, three jobs
The site is deliberately split in three, because the questions have almost nothing to do with each other and mixing them up is how people get confused:

What we do
- Free tools. Eight calculators across the two free sections — SIP, FD vs SIP, EMI, 80C, salary planner, home loan eligibility, rent vs buy and the true cost of buying. All free, no login.
- Beginner guides in plain English. With the real charges — broker fees, stamp duty, processing fees — not rounded-off guesses.
- Straight talk. We explain what "expense ratio" and "circle rate" mean before we use them.
What we don't do
- Stock tips or "buy this fund" advice. We are not SEBI-registered advisors.
- Give personal investment, tax, legal or loan advice. We are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser, lender, loan agent or DSA. The Land Desk does broker land; its commercial role and compensation are disclosed separately from educational content.
- Promise guaranteed returns. Nothing in the market is guaranteed — anyone who says otherwise is lying.
- Sell your data. No newsletter spam, no calls.
How is the site free?
